There are 5 locations, but many of these are close together. The main locations are;
Hebden Bridge Area:
Heptonstall Graveyard
Heptonstall is a small town which is 20 minutes walk from the train station, this means that it will be easy to carry the Canon 550D, Rode NTG-2 Microphone and the Tripod up there to film. I wanted this location as I like the colours there and the layout allows for a lot of layers within the edit. In terms of risk for on set there are some minor risks which are stated below;
Rocky and Uneven flooring -
The entire of the flooring within the graveyard is uneven and there are a lot of graves that people can fall over.
I will lower the risk of this by using an easily accessable grave and I will also tell the crew of the risks and to be wary of uneven ground.
Heptonstall Streets
I wanted to usethe town of Heptonstall as I like the era of which it is set and I felt it would fit well with the whole idea of being trapped and not knowing how to feel. I also wanted the colouring of the walls to be the same as in the graveyard as it links it all together and the brick work.
Rublic Access -
When we are filming it will be on a public right of way and the permissions for filming have been given to go ahead but that there can be no road closures as it is only half a day of shooting.
My Living Room
I will be using my living room for some of the film. the main risks within my house. I will make sure that there is nothing in the room that is a hazard apart from the lighting which I will inform the actors about on set. I will plan the routes in the best way around the house. The main risk is that the corridors are quite thin.
Hebden Bridge Park
Hebden Bridge Park has a variety of views and locations which I wanted to use within the film, this included the tree, the memorial gardens and the football park. Within the locations the main risks were Animals such as ants and flies. Another risk which I had to deal with was that a lot of people drink on the park and leave cans so before the actors came on set. Other risks included the public, again this is a public location so I will have to tell the actors and ensure that the shots are positioned not to get passer bys in shot.
Fairfield Top of the Hill.
This is the view from the top of the hill near my house called Fairfield. I thought that this would be an easy location to shoot at and to work at. The location is a 10 minute walk from the train station and the road is steady. This area is public land but is very secluded which means that at this locations I can shoot without any issues with the public and in terms of other risks the only presented risks are uneven grounding so I will tell the actors to wear suitable shoes and to tread carefully.
