Looking at the assignment brief I was given by Mark, there are two possible paths I can go down when it comes to my final production. I felt that it was necessary to explore both paths If I wanted to make a piece of work to a better standard. I love local music and have worked with several artists before on bits and pieces and this is a plausible root I could go down.
In my spare time I love watching music videos and dissecting them and I think that by doing this it will enhance my ability to create films and music videos. For this section of the Music Video research I will analysing narrative music videos. These are music videos which follow a story throughout. A clear example of this is the music video All I Want by Kodaline.
The Music Videos I will be looking at are;

SYNOPSIS: The films follows the character of the man who has a facial condition in which it isn't normal. He scares the girl who he really likes at work and is bullied by his entire colleague body. He then takes a stand against the guys at the workplace who are irritating the girl and against odd he wins and the girl falls in love with him.
In this video we see that the song reflects how the actors feels in the beginning the male lead in the video is shown as being beaten down. The music then rises and so does the confidence of the character until it lends itself to the end happy riff. The video follows the highs and lows of the song and follows the narrative structure of 3 acts.
